It’s been a, somewhat, number of years since I wrote an article for my blog – and this here is hopefully a way for me to rekindle the love I have for writing, as much as I do photography.
Shetal & Manesh chose one of the most romantic days of the year to get married! 14th of February 2014 – Valentines Day!
In the heart of Wembley, London, the Civil Registry Wedding took place at the Brent Civic Centre. The new Brent registry office, is a testament to well designed, open plan, architecture, with exhibition and gallery space. Having been open for less than a year before the wedding, Shetal & Manesh took advantage of being one of the first weddings taking place in 2014, and gave us the opportunity to create some creative portraits. Since then, I’ve heard that ‘The Drum’ as they call it, is now open for conferences, weddings and other events.
An intimate spiritual ceremony, at Sun Lounge Banqueting in Alperton, followed in the early evening with close friends and family present to offer their blessings and best wishes. The spiritual ceremony was the perfect way to acknowledge and give grace to their Hindu tradition, without the stress and anticipation of organising “a big fat indian wedding”.
Into the evening… Party mode, hats on! These two love to dance, and so do their friends! You’ll see from the party photos below, when the music starts, nobody could stay seated!
